Once Phase 1 of Brightline’s service is operational, residents and visitors will be able to connect to Miami, Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach with effortless ease. Fighting traffic jams to seasonal events will be a thing of the past as each station is strategically located in downtown city centers to take advantage of the best happenings. The Fourth of July is one of South Florida’s most exciting holidays, offering multiple fireworks displays on the coast.
“This Fourth of July there is an experience for everyone in South Florida to take advantage of and enjoy with their friends and family,” said Brightline CMO Julie Edwards. “Brightline looks forward to becoming a new part of holiday event traditions, providing travelers with an efficient and hospitable mode of transportation to all downtown offerings in Miami, Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach.”
Below are some of Brightline’s top picks for upcoming Fourth of July festivities occurring this year:
What better way to celebrate the Fourth of July than by watching one of the largest fireworks displays in South Florida at America’s Birthday Bash. The fun starts at Bayfront Park downtown at noon with a free Kids’ Zone, Budweiser Beer Garden & Stage and live music beginning at 2 p.m. The night will culminate with a stunning fireworks celebration over Biscayne Bay beginning at 9 p.m. Check out more Fourth of July happenings occurring in Miami at www.Miami4thofjuly.com.
Celebrate America’s Independence Day at the City of Fort Lauderdale’s free Fourth of July Spectacular, a patriotic extravaganza featuring live bands, a Kids Zone, beach games, contests, family activities and a dazzling fireworks display. A favorite Fort Lauderdale event for children of all ages, the Kid’s Zone will be open from noon to 5 p.m. and home to a DJ, bounce houses, water slides, face painting, human foosball, beach games and even a watermelon eating contest. The Fourth of July Spectacular takes place from noon to 9:30 p.m. on Fort Lauderdale Beach at A1A and Las Olas Boulevard. For more information on the event, please visit www.fortlauderdale.gov.
Home to the largest free Independence Day bash in South Florida, West Palm Beach’s 4th on Flagler is an event not to be missed! Taking place from 5 to 10 p.m., the celebration will feature live performances from award-winning local and national recording artists like The Rua, a military honor ceremony, larger-than-life games including human foosball, bowling, flag unfurling, children’s activities, a nine-hole miniature golf course, assortment of mouthwatering craft beer and food vendors and a jaw-dropping fireworks extravaganza over the Intracoastal Waterway.
